Fall meetings yield changes to local shuffleboarding

At the Florida Shuffleboard Association's fall meetings on Oct. 7 at Sebring saw several issues resolved after a good amount of debate.

Stan McCormack of "The Shuffler" will be installed as a Special Award in the FSA Hall of Fame Banquet at Ft. Pierce on Jan. 18.

Helen Biaggi will be installed as a player on Jan. 18 after a rule was changed. Previously, one had to wait up to 14 months to be installed if 200 points was reached in Fall. After the rule alteration, those qualifying between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 have a choice whether to be installed in January, or wait until next season.

Hall of Fame banquet tickets are $28 and will be available at state tournaments. The menu at Grinelli's in Ft. Pierce will include choice of four entrees, beverage, dessert and a wonderful evening.

Keeper of Records at FSA, Ed O'Neal, will be replaced by Glenn Monroe.

O'Neal will also resign as preview editor after one more season. Potential editors should contact a District or State officer to be considered.
