Bradenton Marauders, Fort Myers Miracle game suspended
BRADENTON – Sunday's game between the Bradenton Marauders and Fort Myers Miracle was suspended after three innings due to heavy rains rendering the field conditions at McKechnie Field unplayable. The Marauders were leading 2-0 at the time of the suspension. The game will be completed on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 5 p.m. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. The regularly scheduled game for Aug. 29 will be played 30 minutes after the completion of the resumed game, and will be scheduled to last seven innings.
Aug. 29 is the Salute to Boy Bands a McKechnie Field. ‘N Sync founding member Chris Kirkpatrick will be on site at the game. Kirkpatrick will have a private meet and greet with Thirsty Thursday Club Members from 5:45 p.m.-6:15 p.m. in the Left Field Party Deck. He will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the start of the second game, and remain on site signing autographs and meeting fans until 8:45 p.m.
Tickets from the suspended game may be exchanged for a ticket to any remaining Bradenton Marauders home game in 2013 at the McKechnie Field ticket office. The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-game days from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and closed on weekend non-game days. On Monday-Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 1:00 p.m. and closes at the conclusion of the game. The Marauders next home game is Tuesday, August 20 against the Jupiter Hammerheads. The game starts at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
