Candace Parker Points Out WNBA Players' 'Insecurities' Over Decision on Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston

Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston have been voted as starters for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. Both Indiana Fever stars were in the top three in fan voting, with Clark finishing second with 1,023,321 votes and Boston at No. 3 with 1,001,399 votes.

Fan votes account for 50% of the final ranking for the All-Stars, while media votes and player votes account for 25% each.

Interestingly, while Clark and Boston were also in the top five in media votes, their rankings from their WNBA peers were shockingly low. Clark was voted just the 11th-best guard by other players, while Boston was voted eighth among frontcourt players.

After seeing the votes from the WNBA players, basketball legend and Hall of Famer Candace Parker was naturally in disbelief. She went on to call out the league and said that the voting results reflect the "insecurities" of other players.

"I wholeheartedly believe that there need to be some rules with the WNBA players, because this is getting out of hand," Parker said on the latest episode of her "Post Moves" podcast with Boston. "Caitlin Clark voted 11th-best guard by WNBA players? That's crazy."

Parker added, "I think people need to look at themselves in the mirror and realize like, man, you got some insecurities. If you're sitting down and putting in Caitlin Clark as the 11th-best guard, like y'all need to go to the therapist and figure out what childhood issues you have. 'Cause if you're sitting there and looking at yourself in the mirror and putting her as 11th best guard and you're putting you as eighth best, like come on."

For what it's worth, it's not only Parker who felt that the players voting Clark as the 11th-best guard was absurd. Several fans noted that it screams "jealousy." Sports commentator Colin Cowherd criticized the voting as well, along with a number of publications.
