Deion Sanders Promises That Colorado's Program Is Already 'Turned Around'

Deion Sanders has been at the University of Colorado, leading the school's football program, since the 2023 season.

Colorado showed promise in Year 1, ultimately finishing 4-8. The 2024 season was a big one, with Travis Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy and the team finishing at 9-4 on the year. However, things dropped back in 2025, with Colorado missing a bowl game and having a losing record.

With Colorado set to enter Year 4 of the Deion Sanders era, will the results finally start to be at a high level?

Deion Sanders is promising that they will be. However, he's making it clear - the program has already been turned around.

Deion Sanders promised reporters on Wednesday: the program has already been turned around in a big way.

"It's already turned," he said Tuesday. "You just ain't seen the fruit. It's already there."

Colorado is coming off a 3-9 season.

Coach Prime remains confident in his abilities

Coach Prime has dealt with multiple health issues, which could have impacted his abilities. Coach Prime battled bladder cancer and a leg infection, among other things.

"And that's where I was," he said, per ESPN. "So, I'm putting that on me. I'm putting that on me, that it was some holes that I saw that I didn't make the adjustments on. I should have shot some things early on."

Ultimately, Coach Prime doesn't want to worry about the future.

"Let's not talk about tomorrow. We got today at hand. Yeah. I'm going to focus on it now. When I'm [at] my best, I focus on it now and I dominate the now. Then I deal with the next day."
