Former NFL Star Marcellus Wiley Faces $500,000 Lawsuit
Former NFL star Marcellus Wiley is now facing a major lawsuit, amid allegations stemming from an arrest involving a July 4 incident.
Wiley was arrested after allegedly threatening his wife over the Fourth of July. Wiley, who played in the NFL for a decade, was arrested at a hotel in Florida. He's denying the accusations.
"I'm deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and concern for me and my itty bitties," Wiley wrote in his first public comments since his arrest.
"Your support is fully appreciated. I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I'm certain the truth will prevail."
Wiley's longtime wife has since filed for divorce. He had been married to his wife, Annemarie, of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" fame, for 14 years.
"As you know, I'm usually the first to break down the truth and separate facts from fiction," he said. "But because this is now a legal matter-and because my greatest responsibility is protecting my babies, who have already been impacted-I have to handle this differently. When I can speak freely, I absolutely will.
"Until then, thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for continuing to stand with me. Much Luv."
Wiley is facing a $500,000 lawsuit, too
Wiley and his company have reportedly been sued, after allegedly failing to pay back a half million dollar loan.
"According to the suit -- filed back in December 2025 -- Marcellus and his company, 'Dat Dude Entertainment,' took out a loan from Preferred Bank in May 2023 with the promise of paying it all back after one year," TMZ Sports reported.
"The bank says it never got the money -- or any of the accrued interest payments it says it's owed ... despite agreeing to give Marcellus several extensions until December 2025 to pay it back."
When it rains, it pours for Wiley.
