Trial For Former NFL Quarterback Mark Sanchez Delayed

NFL fans will once again have to wait for a final verdict on former quarterback Mark Sanchez and his criminal trial.

Sanchez was arrested on Oct. 4, 2025 due to a physical altercation in downtown Indianapolis. The former first-round pick from USC was accused of attacking and injuring a truck driver less than 48 hours before he was supposed to call a game between the Colts and Raiders for FOX. It was reported that Sanchez was stabbed in the chest during this incident.

When the dust settled, Sanchez was charged with a felony count of battery involving serious bodily injury and three misdemeanor charges.

FOX ultimately decided to part ways with Sanchez and replace him with former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

"While the recent news - and its timing - is understandably disappointing, our priority remains his continued healing and recovery," Sanchez's brother Nick said. "Mark deeply values his time at FOX and the exceptional colleagues he's had the privilege to work with. Those relationships are meaningful and will endure."
