Angel Reese Reacts to Wendell Carter Jr.'s NBA Playoff Performance

The No. 8 seed Orlando Magic took a 2-1 series lead over the No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons on Saturday afternoon, mounting a 113-105 final score in Game 3.

The Magic were led in the scoring department by Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane, who combined for 50 points in the pivotal playoff victory. Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley also got an outstanding all-around performance from Wendell Carter Jr., who finished the game with a massive 14-point, 17-rebound double-double.

This performance from Carter mirrors some of the same stat lines we’ve seen from his girlfriend: WNBA All-Star Angel Reese.

Reese took to social media with a strong message after Carter’s outstanding postseason performance.

“17 REBOUNDS?! who are you feeling likeeeeee,” Reese wrote on X.

Reese and Carter went public with their relationship in November 2025. Reese frequently attends Carter’s games and supports him with public posts on social media.

Reese was traded to the Atlanta Dream in a blockbuster WNBA trade with the Chicago Sky earlier this offseason. The two-time WNBA All-Star was acquired in exchange for first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2028.

Reese led the WNBA in rebounding in each of her first two seasons, averaging 13.1 per game in 2024 and 12.6 per game in 2025. She set the all-time WNBA single-season rebound record in her rookie season, and holds the league record of 15 consecutive double-doubles.

The Dream will begin their WNBA preseason schedule with a matchup against the Sky - Reese’s former team - on Wednesday, April 29.

Carter and the Magic will tipoff against the Pistons in a Game 4 matchup on Monday night.
