Watch Peyton Manning’s Super Bowl commercial for Universal Studios
Peyton Manning isn't quarterbacking a Super Bowl team this season, but the retired NFL star is making an appearance in Super Bowl LII on Sunday.
Look for Manning as the "Vacation Quarterback," in a Super Bowl commercial airing during the Eagles-Patriots game Sunday night.
The 30-second spot shows Manning coaching families to take their vacation to the next level at Universal Studios Hollywood in California and Universal Orlando Resort, according to a press release.
Some highlights:
Manning wearing a Harry Potter scarf and explaining to a family that he really wanted to play Quidditch, the sport in the Harry Potter books and movies, but the Mannin's are kind of a football family.
When seeing the Transformers character shout, 'All hail Megatron,' Manning asks, 'Didn't you play for Detroit?' That reference is to Calvin Johnson, the retired Lions receiver who went by the moniker Megatron.
Manning poking fun at himself with the one of the daughters of the family swiping a churro from her brother and shouting, "Interception." Manning says it's a cheap shot that he doesn't deserve.
Back to the Harry Potter scene, Manning gets taught how to use a wand and is told he's uncoachable.
Manning, who quarterbacked the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos to Super Bowl victories during his career, isn't new to commercials or poking fun at himself.
He's been a fixture in the Nationwide and Papa John's commercials.
