Local roundup: Lakewood Ranch, Braden River girls soccer teams notch victories

Faith Schyck scored four goals to lead the Lakewood Ranch girls soccer team to a 5-3 victory against North Port on Monday night.

Kaitlyn Kline scored a goal and had two assists for the Mustangs, who improved to 6-2-3.

Lakewood Ranch’s next game is on the road Wednesday against Braden River.

Braden River 8, Sarasota 0: Brooke Tyquinco and Kaylee Cooper each scored two goals in the host Pirates’ victory.

Braden River also got goals from Izzy Vasquez, Savanah DeCastro, Emma Parrish and Lexi Madrid.

Assisting on the goals were Madrid (two), Olivia Cornelias, Ashley Tollner, Sofia Turaz, Kennedy McNab and Vasquez.

Braden River (8-3, 6-1) hosts Lakewood Ranch on Wednesday night.
