NBA legend Larry Bird turned 61 on Thursday, and there was no shortage of homages to the former Boston Celtics great on social media.
The Celtics expressed their well wishes on Twitter.
The NBA’s Facebook page produced a video mix of Bird’s career to honor “Larry Legend” on his 61st birthday.
ESPN’s NBA Twitter account posted a video montage detailing several last-second clutch shots Bird made throughout his career.
FIBA, the international basketball federation, wished Bird a happy birthday with a photo of the legend clad in his Team USA basketball uniform. Bird played on the original 1992 Dream Team.
On Twitter, Timeless Sports posted a video showing Bird teaching how to shoot a jump shot, something he was quite good at.
