Local roundup: SCF volleyball drops conference game to Pasco-Hernando State College

State College of Florida battled back after dropping the first two sets, but Pasco-Hernando State College held off the Manatees 25-23, 25-21, 24-26, 24-26, 15-11 on Friday in New Port Richey.

Brandi McGee had 29 assists and 14 digs for SCF (10-19 overall, 3-3 conference). Other standouts included De’Aryll Green (eight kills, six digs, six blocks), Lauren Shively (26 digs, three aces) and Jayleen Abregana (17 kills, 15 digs).

The Manatees play a doubleheader Saturday, hosting Miami Dade College at noon and Polk State College at 5 p.m.
