Buccaneers bring in familiar face to replace Nick Folk
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hope to solve their ongoing kicking woes with a familiar face, signing Patrick Murray on Monday to replace the struggling Nick Folk.
Murray’s agents confirmed the news on Twitter.

The move comes after Folk missed three field goals in Thursday’s 19-14 loss to the New England Patriots. Folk was placed on injured reserve with a minor injury classification but will have to be released by the Bucs once he is healthy.
Murray was with the Bucs in 2014 and was 20-for-24 on field goals and perfect on 31 extra points. He spent the 2015 season on injured reserve, then spent 2016 with the Cleveland Browns.
Signed in the offseason to compete with 2016 second-round pick Roberto Aguayo, Folk was 6-for-11 on field goals, with all five misses coming in the past two games. Aguayo was cut during training camp, and the Bucs entered the season confident the 32-year-old Folk would be the answer to the kicking troubles.
He delivered the winning kick on the final play against the New York Giants on Oct. 1, but his performance against the Pats forced the Bucs to look elsewhere.
