Lakewood Ranch wins Manatee County golf championship

Lakewood Ranch won the Manatee County High School Golf Championship at Buffalo Creek Golf Club and improved to 35-3 for the season.

The Mustangs (287) prevailed by 13 strokes over No. 2 Saint Stephen’s (305).

Lakewood Ranch’s Drew Angelo and Saint Stephen’s Ryan Kinkead shared medalist honors with rounds of 70.

Angelo won the Manatee County championship individual honors by making birdie on third playoff hole.

Braden River was third with a team total of 318 and was led by Brian Choi with a 76.
