Bradenton Christian’s athletic events for this week were canceled late Tuesday night, according to a Panthers social media account.

That includes Friday’s football game at Out-of-Door Academy.

The game between the two Sunshine State Athletic Conference opponents joined a slew of Manatee County games either canceled or postponed due to Hurricane Irma.

Saint Stephen’s, the reigning SSAC champions, is the only team in action this weekend. The Falcons play at St. Petersburg Shorecrest Prep on Saturday at 11 a.m.
