Bradenton’s Korda, Osuigwe win first-round matches at U.S. Open junior event

Bradenton residents Sebastian Korda and Whitney Osuigwe won their first-round matches Monday at the U.S. Open boys and girls junior championships in New York.

Korda opened play in the boys event with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Jack Draper. Osuigwe defeated Margaryta Bilokin of Ukraine 6-1, 6-4.
