Former Manatee High linebacker Greg Reeves is now a scholarship football player for the University of South Florida.

New Bulls head coach Charlie Strong awarded Reeves, a sophomore who attended Air Force Academy Prep School following his Manatee High graduation in 2014, a full scholarship on Thursday.

Reeves played special teams last year, tallying seven tackles, as a preferred walk-on.

USF announced Strong’s scholarship offer to Reeves in a video posting to Twitter.

In the video, Strong commends Reeves’ hard work in fall camp.
