FSU’s Deondre Francois, Alabama’s Bo Scarbrough crack ESPN Top 50 player list
ESPN ranked two former IMG Academy standouts in its list of the Top 50 college football players.
Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois (No. 11) and Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough (No. 26) cracked the rankings. FSU’s Derwin James ranked as the No. 1 overall player.
James, a defensive back, topped the rankings that also featured Southern Cal quarterback Sam Darnold, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and returning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson of Louisville.
Other FSU players who cracked the list were defensive end Josh Sweat (No. 24), defensive back Tarvarus McFadden (No. 25) and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (No. 50).
USF quarterback Quinton Flowers was No. 33.
No Florida or Miami players made the cut.
