Marauders continue to swing hot bats

Will Craig had three hits for the second consecutive game and Kevin Krause hit his seventh homer of the season as the Bradenton Marauders beat the Clearwater Threshers 6-3 on Monday night at LECOM Park.

After collecting 17 hits on Sunday, the Marauders had 13 on Monday in taking three of four in the series.

Craig led the way with three hits, while Krause, Mitchell Toman, Ke’Bryan Hayes and Ty Moore added two.

Perdo Vasquez picked up his ninth win in 13 decisions for the Marauders, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out six in six innings. Geoff Hartlieb worked two scoreless innings before Daniel Zamora worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save.

After winning five of seven on its homestand, Bradenton hits the road Tuesday to face Tim Tebow and the St. Lucie Mets for a four-game series at First Data Field.
