Craig, Krause lead Marauders to victory

Will Craig homered and singled twice, scoring four runs and driving in three as the Bradenton Marauders topped the Clearwater Threshers 9-2 on Sunday.

Kevin Krause doubled and singled three times with four RBIs for Bradenton, which started the scoring in the first inning when Craig hit a two-run home run.

Bradenton later scored in three additional innings, including a four-run second, when Ke’Bryan Hayes hit a two-run triple to help punctuate the blowout.

Bradenton right-hander Bret Helton (6-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter JoJo Romero (2-2) took the loss in the Florida State League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and 12 hits over four innings. Logan Sendelbach gave up one run in four innings and recorded his second save of the season.

For the Threshers, Mark Laird singled three times and stole a base.
