All Mitchell Tolman was trying to do was move the runners up 90 feet to second and third base. He ended up winning the game.

Tampa third baseman Daniel Barrios fielded Tolman’s sacrifice bunt and made an errant throw to first base, allowing Bradenton’s Casey Hughston to score from second and give the Marauders a 6-5 win over the Yankees on Friday night at LECOM Park.

John Bormann and Cole Tucker had walked to open the bottom of the ninth, at which point Hughston entered the game to pinch run for Bormann. Tolman’s bunt then led to the winning run as the Marauders started a brief four-game homestand with a victory.

Tucker had a double, single and stolen base for Bradenton. Trey Amburgey homered for Tampa. Reliever Seth McGarry (1-0) pitched a scoreless ninth for the Marauders.

It was just the second victory in nine tries for the Marauders this season against the Yankees.
