Starter Cam Vieaux leads Marauders past Fire Frogs
Ty Moore hit a three-run home run and had two hits, driving in four, and Cam Vieaux allowed three hits over six innings as the Bradenton Marauders defeated the Florida Fire Frogs 12-4 on Friday in Florida State League play.
Vieaux (2-0) allowed one run while striking out five and walking one to get the win. In 12 innings since being promoted from West Virginia, Vieaux has given up eight hits and one run. The run came in the sixth on Friday when Austin Riley hit a double, scoring Anfernee Seymour.
Bradenton built a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs on RBI singles by Moore, Casey Hughston and Ke’Bryan Hayes.
The Marauders added seven runs in the eighth, highlighted by Moore’s homer, to turn the game into a rout. Will Craig finished with three hits.
Touki Toussaint (2-9) went 5 1/3 innings, allowing five runs and five hits in the Florida State League game. He also struck out five and walked three.
