Rain stops Bradenton Marauders for third day in a row
The rain is on a three-game winning streak.
The Bradenton Marauders and Lakeland Flying Tigers? Not so much.
Rain washed out Tuesday’s scheduled doubleheader between the Florida State League teams at LECOM Park, just as it did Monday and as it did for a single game on Sunday. Even though both teams have a scheduled off day on Wednesday, the teams will not try again, and the two games scheduled for Tuesday will not be rescheduled. The teams are not scheduled to play again in Bradenton this season.
Bradenton is scheduled to play a four-game set in Lakeland on June 22-25 and a three-game set Aug. 7-9.
Fans holding a ticket to the cancelled games on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday may exchange it for a ticket to any future 2017 Bradenton Marauders regular-season game at the stadium box office during regular box office hours.
The Marauders (33-23) hope to return to action on Thursday with a road trip to Dunedin. Although the forecast calls for more rain that day as well, it has been slightly drier north of Tampa Bay this week. Clearwater and Tampa both played on Monday and Tuesday nights.
