Agrazal leads Marauders by Tigers

Herald Correspondent

Dario Agrazal allowed three hits over seven innings as the Bradenton Marauders defeated Lakeland 5-2 in Florida State League action at LECOM Park on Saturday.

Agrazal (5-2) allowed two runs while striking out six. Both runs he allowed came on solo homers. Zac Shepherd hit his 10th homer in the second and Elvis Rubio hit his first in the fifth for Lakeland.

Bradenton did much of its damage early. Will Craig hit an RBI triple — his first of the season — and then scored on a single by Christian Kelley to give Agrazal a 2-0 lead after one inning.

The Marauders scored two more in the second. Mitchell Tolman opened the home half with a solo home run, his fourth. Casey Hughston scored the other run on Jordan George’s sacrifice fly. Hughston had singled, stolen second and reached third on a Logan Ratledge single.

Logan Hill completed the scoring with an RBI single in the eighth.

Kyle Dowdy (3-4) went seven innings, allowing four runs and seven hits in the loss.

Seth McGarry recorded his fifth save of the season.
