Braden River’s Myah Moy earns FACA All-Star softball

Braden River High’s Myah Moy was the lone Manatee County senior selected into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Softball Classic this weekend in Ocala.

The senior second baseman, who was chosen to represent the West team, hit .545 with eight home runs, eight doubles, five triples, 32 RBIs and a .560 on-base percentage this past season. She’s heading to Rutgers in the fall.

The FACA All-Star Softball Classic is in its 28th edition and features four teams. The West faces the South at 6 p.m. on Friday. The North plays the East at 8 p.m. The winners meet in a championship game on Saturday at 12 p.m., while the consolation game is set for 10 a.m.

The games cost $5 to attend and are played at Ocala’s Forest High located at 5000 SE Maricamp Road.
