Hayes’ single in eighth lifts Marauders to win

Ke’Bryan Hayes hit a run-scoring single in the eighth inning, leading the Bradenton Marauders to a 6-5 win over Fort Myers on Sunday, ending the Miracle’s seven-game winning streak.

Seth McGarry got Tanner English to fly out with a runner on first to end the game for his fourth save of the season.

Alfredo Reyes scored on Hayes’ single after he reached base on an error and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt.

Logan Hill hit an RBI double, scoring Jordan George in the first inning to give the Marauders a 1-0 lead. The Miracle took the lead in the bottom of the first when Bradley Strong and Chris Paul hit back-to-back solo home runs.

Bradenton tied the game 5-5 in the fourth when Hayes hit a two-run triple.

Casey Sadler (2-0) got the win with three innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Alex Muren (0-1) took the loss in the Florida State League game.

Paul and Strong both homered for Fort Myers, which is 4-2 against Bradenton this season.
