State College of Florida baseball opens season with loss to Chipola

Brendon Little lasted three innings in his State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, debut, and SCF opened its season with a 6-4 loss to Chipola College in Fort Myers.

The left-hander, who played at North Carolina last year, struck out six, allowed two hits and walked three. Infielder Austin James went 1 for 3 with two RBI. Utility player Reilly Johnson added two more hits and an RBI.

The Manatees (0-1) play Saturday when they face ASA College at 2 p.m. in Fort Myers.
