High school football playoff preview: Saint Stephen’s
Saint Stephen’s (9-1) at Lecanto Seven Rivers Christian (8-2)

The scoop: Saint Stephen’s gets another meeting against a similar team when it travels to Lecanto to face Seven Rivers Christian in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference Coral League final. These two met in the first round of the SSAC playoffs last year. This time the winner will advance to the conference championship. ... Seven Rivers is running for more than 280 yards per game while surrendering an average of 21.4 points. ... The Falcons have two of Manatee County’s leading rushers. Running back Chase Brown leads the county in rushing yards with 1,123, and quarterback Fred Billy ranks third with 854. Saint Stephen’s defense has been better, too, holding opponents to 19.9 points per game and 257.5 total yards.
