Lochte fails on personal level

Monday morning I heard Ryan Lochte, Olympic swimmer and superstar, tell Matt Lauer that his behavior was “immature and childish.” I fell off my chair.

“Immature and childish” are descriptors for junior high kids who committed some minor infraction. Not someone who trashed a restroom and accused Brazilian police officers of false actions, fabricating a major lie about his behavior to the world.

What Lochte did was on an international scale, embarrassing all Americans and insulting all Brazilians. “Behaving like a boorish self-centered jerk” would be a more appropriate description.

I just wonder if he has the intelligence and maturity to understand the ramifications of his despicable misbehavior?
