Broken sidewalk presents threat
This is addressed to the City of Bradenton “sidewalk repair department.”
Please take a look at the outdated, awful, crusty sidewalk on 59th Street West between Sugg Middle School and the entrance at G.T. Bray Park. Uneven patch upon patch of concrete, unevenly laid on top of long-decayed asphalt. Some patches are two inches higher than they should be.
This sidewalk is highly used by cyclists, pedestrians, skateboarders and joggers. I know of a man in a wheelchair that has to go backwards because the small front wheels jam up through the entire length of the rotten surface of this sidewalk.
It would really be nice to see a repave here, especially now that school has started. And I am sure that chap in the wheelchair would love a reprieve from the pain in his neck from looking backwards maneuvering that miserable sidewalk.
