Large, heavy bins make recycling impossible in Manatee County

Last week, we received a new big blue can for recycling. And I mean big and huge and heavy!

The problem is that this “can” is so heavy that if I put anything in it, I will be unable to take it to the street! Whatever made the county think that these new cans would be the best way to handle recycling?

I, for one, can’t even handle the empty can. So what are the older folks who live in unincorporated Manatee County to do?

So much for further recycling, as it just became impossible.
