Fight bio-political terrorism; vote for candidates who will address climate change

Terrorism and how to deal with it has been a major theme in recent political verbage. I’d like to offer some insight into how we can identify terrorists who are in, or hope to be in, our government at some level in some branch. It’s easy. They identify themselves.

I should explain that I am not talking about the machine-gun toting sociopaths we are all too familiar with, at least after the fact. I am talking about bio-political terrorists as defined by the foremost British medical journal, The Lancet, as those who are indifferent to climate change with its profoundly adverse effects on our health, economy, national security, food and water.

The list of government officials, and would-be government officials, that meet that definition is scary in its length. Informed Floridians know that it includes Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott and many others.

Fortunately, this form (this most impactful form) of terrorism can be dealt with easily. Don’t vote for the terrorists.

Instead, vote for people concerned about climate change, including Floridians Carlos Curbelo, Ted Deutch, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Patrick Murphy, David Jolly and others. In making your decision, simply remember that if a candidate is not part of the solution, he is part of the problem, the bio-political terrorism.
