Quit electing bought politicians

Let me make the following statement loud and clear. I and many other Americans do not care about the emails that Republicans want to bury Hillary Clinton under.

I do care that Republicans are totally beholden to the NRA, a group that has never been elected to any office by any American. A group of greedy people who believe that the Constitution stands for only one thing: a right to bear arms ... not muskets, not single-fire guns, any type of gun. Guns that were made and sold to the armed forces to be used in war, not hunting (unless you’re hunting human beings).

Does a man or woman, for that matter, really believe that weapons of destruction should be allowed in local communities? What purpose do they serve other than to slaughter whatever they are being used to shoot at.

A person with a knife is not going to be able to kill 20, 30, 40 people at the same time while using it. A gun-rapid fire, multiple magazines, hatred, anger, craziness and boredom mixed with having these weapons of mass destruction do kill people. The Constitution was written at a time when our forefathers could never have dreamed about the type of guns that are allowed in homes today.

The NRA rates all politicians. Who is rating the NRA for their non-sensible, greedy rationale? Again, they are not elected to anything. Who are they to think that Americans really care about their ratings?

Republicans love to talk about all the takers in America. The biggest takers are the politicians who, with a wink and a handshake, take lots of money from the NRA for their abundant support of them.

Term limits can and will stop this madness, but the American people need to make a stand and say no more special interests, no more padding of their pockets, no more saying one thing to get elected and then doing the complete opposite once elected.
