Queen for a day?

In November our country will elect a new president who may very well be the first female president our country has ever had. Or not.

But one thing is certain: Our country may well have already had our first queen. Nearly all of the queens I can think of were above the law. The recent decision regarding Hillary’s emails is a prime example. If you had done exactly the same thing that the commission found about her emails, you would be facing: 1. criminal charges, 2. never being allowed clearance for secret or top secret data, 3. a felony record for life, and 4. perhaps, jail time.

It is a shame there is definitely now a standard of law for you and me, but not for the “elite” of the country. And I can only think of one queen who didn’t get this royal treatment: Marie Antoinette. Maybe some readers can provide others.
