AR-15 a sporting, self-defense rifle

I oppose any bill that would ban the use of the AR-15 by American citizens.

The AR-15 is a sporting rifle that should be allowed to be owned by all Americans and protected under the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Guns don’t kill people, ideology kills people. Ideology uses pressure cookers, knives, suicide vests, and the Internet. Should we ban all those, too?

Contrary to liberal thought, the AR is not an assault rifle. Assault rifles are fully automatic weapons used by police and the military. Americans should be able to choose their weapon of choice for sport, target practice, and self-defense.

A great video, narrated by a U.S. Navy Seal, entitled “The AR-15: Americans’ Best Defense Against Terror and Crime” is available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHKm51XIHuE&feature=player_embedded ) and expresses my sentiment about the absurdness of banning this weapon from public use.
