Presidential vote a tough choice
Hillary is the first woman to run as a nominee for president of the United States. There have been other women chosen to run their countries in this world and Hillary Clinton has achieved a special and unique recognition in America.
As she responds to her victory with arrogance and over-confidence, we the people await the GOP front-runner. With a Trump nomination at their convention, we can expect a political battle not seen before within the GOP party and the ultimate decision whether Trump or Clinton will be the final choice as president.
As a life-long Democrat, it is with a humble heart that I am faced with voting for someone I do not feel represents me or America. Trump is a maverick with few personal answers or responsibility for his rash remarks or tirades against women, religions, cultures, sexual orientation, lack of political experience and family values that could identify him as the ultimate leader of our country in a hostile world.
President Eisenhower reminded us of the military-industrial complex and businesses who profit from war and the rumors of war. The money changers of Wall Street do not have to identify or secure the future of America in a world of complex issues and ultimate survival. Save us from those profiteers who disregard the value of life and the future of this world, which we share beyond our borders and walls we build to protect our own.
This may be the last free election we will know. Make certain you are registered to vote, and do so on Nov. 8. I will vote for the lesser of two evils and pray that God keeps America whole and united as our Constitution outlined. Oops! Can I say God?
