Start calling Trump ‘Dangerous Donald’
Some people believe it would be a good idea to elect, as president, a person who has no experience in government and no experience in international politics. I believe this would be a big mistake.
Donald Trump has suggested that we should give nuclear weapons to Japan and South Korea so they can defend themselves. This is one reason I call him, “Dangerous Donald.” Donald Trump has said that since some European countries are not pulling their weight, we should get out of NATO altogether and let them fend for themselves. This is another reason to call him, “Dangerous Donald.” Donald Trump says he admires Vladimir Putin and his aggressive tactics in Ukraine. He says he would like to become friends with Putin.
Maybe we should all be calling him, “Dangerous Donald.
Many of Donald Trump’s grandiose plans would require Congressional action or international cooperation. But he seems to think he would have the power as president to accomplish them on his own. His naiveté should have his supporters calling him, “Dangerous Donald.” Recently Donald Trump made a statement that there is no drought in California. Not accepting reality clearly makes him, “Dangerous Donald.” Donald Trump often changes his position on various issues from day to day. He says his unpredictability would be an asset in international relations. Yet the need for stability between nations would certainly make him, “Dangerous Donald.”
Donald Trump’s lack of experience in government and naiveté in international politics, his lack of knowledge outside of the world of business and entertainment, and his bellicose and inconsistent demeanor should disqualify him from becoming President of the United States. Maybe it’s time for all of us to look past Donald Trump’s generalities and obfuscations and start calling him, “Dangerous Donald.”
