Guantanamo threatens Cubans

The Republican majority in the U.S. Congress evidently thinks that captured Jihadist fighters must be kept at Guantanamo for the protection of U.S. residents. This stance not only runs counter to the fact that very few serious offenders ever escape from federal prisons, but also displays a lack of honor.

Do they think that if prisoners escape from Guantanamo it would be better that they harm the Cuban people, who have not warred against the Jihadists or the U.S.?

We are transferring the potential danger we generated to the Cubans. It is a dishonorable and irresponsible act to transfer any such possible harm to innocent bystanders.

It seems that the most powerful government in the world creates potential threats and then doesn’t have the courage to handle those threats.
