Beruff acts like spoiled child
I happened to read the May 28 paper and the story about Carlos Beruff. The article gave examples of his arrogance and ignorance, but failed to point out that he is the individual who is trying to develop the controversial community at Long Bar Pointe, in spite of its threat to the environment.
Mr. Beruff expects people to support his run for the U.S. Senate although he acts like a spoiled child and verbally expresses all the hate and vindictiveness currently fashionable in politics. Unfortunately, he was not the only individual in the paper expressing a hate of authority.
A man from Palmetto told how he would defy the law and carry a gun into businesses that did not allow them. I am unsure about the purpose of the letter except to try and express his opinion about being entitled and exempt from acceptable behavior. I hope neither of these men represents the image projected by the United States, or we are a lot more uncivilized than we like to believe.
