Donald Trump may be distasteful medicine that cures nation's ill

Statements made earlier this month by Paul Ryan, the Bush brothers, Mitt Romney and other party notables criticized Donald Trump's personality, his terrible statements about fellow candidates, and they withdrew their support from him as the party's presidential candidate.

This reaction, by men who lead today's Republican Party, reflects a growing decay of their leadership that once was the hallmark of American politics.

The voting public has dramatically demonstrated their own remaining power by supporting Trump's candidacy. Voters aren't listening to party officials, the press or a host of Trump's critics.

Obama's presidency nearly doubled the national debt to $19.2 trillion. That's about $60,000 for every citizen, or $161,000 for every taxpayer!

Reasonable people know this depraved waste can't go on forever. He cut our military in half. His corporate taxes motivated companies to buy their products from Asian and South American companies, leaving millions without jobs.

Obama refused to close our borders and deport over 11 million estimated illegal immigrants. Mexican authorities suggest the number could be closer to 20 million.

Obama's administration is loaded with communists who are dedicated to socialism where the government dictates citizens' rights. The Constitution, written to protect the power of the people, has been severely ignored by Obama's administration.

Donald Trump wants to reverse these atrocities to bring back American traditions and ideals.

Now, Republican Party leadership has turned thumbs down on Trump, the people's choice among 17 candidates. Political corruption in our country has nearly destroyed the founders' dreams, when both parties can act like Obama and dismiss the people's choice.

He doesn't look, act or speak like a savior, but Mr. Trump may be the distasteful medicine that cures the terrible assault on Americans way of life which many of us wants defended in Washington.
