Carlos Beruff, candidate for Marco Rubio's Senate seat, wants voters to believe that he is interested and qualified to serve them.

He was so busy that an assistant was delegated to fill out his voter registration form and he did not review it. Is there a higher personal responsibility?

A non-Senate candidate falsely filling out this form could be subject to a fine of $25,000 and up to five years in prison. A Senate candidate simply states: it was an assistant's error and vote for honest me in November.

Exhibiting true political form early in the campaign, I would suggest Mr. Beruff return to his overbuilding homes in Manatee.
