Water backflow preventers are a rip-off on home owners

Another note on the water backflow preventers: I had to have one installed several years ago.

Besides having to pay to have it checked every year, I've had to replace it twice because my neighbors, or their visitors, hit it while trying to park next to it.

At $400 per replacement, this has been expensive. It can too easily be damaged by a lawnmower. What a rip-off!
