Exploiting differences over promoting unity hurting U.S.

Is the idea of America disappearing?

The percentage of Hispanic citizens in this country is estimated to be well over 25 million. Recently, I read that 27 million is commonly used to identify them as a voting bloc.

The number of illegals is conservatively estimated at 12 million, bringing the total population to 39 million.

According to the World Bank, remittance to foreign countries by illegals and migrant workers from the U.S. reaches $120 billion annually. Remittance to Mexico totaled $200 billion over the past 10 years. The most recent annual remittance to Mexico was $22 billion. Add to that the annual $100 billion cost of financial assistance, medical, schooling, crime, incarceration, court costs, and deportation, etc.

If amnesty is granted, illegals would become eligible for 80 means-tested welfare programs, which would make the costs shown above look like chump change. Taxpayers will perpetually pay, not only for our own poorly educated or motivated populace, but will carry the additional burden for those additional poorly educated millions who receive amnesty, perhaps a point worthy of consideration in November.

The world "we" live in requires workers with ever increasing skills. The promotion of the insane idea that everyone is entitled to a financial trophy at the expense of someone else will drive this country on the rocks, $20 trillion ... and counting.

Defining anyone who opposes amnesty and open borders as racist is simply another lie among a blizzard of lies concocted (Alinsky style) by the left to retain their power at "whatever" cost.

Diversity in America traditionally means different people who assimilate into their country's culture and laws. The political left likes to divide America by race, ethnicity and gender, etc. "Divide" is the key word because they can exploit differences instead of promoting unity, which is damaging America significantly.
