It might make some people happy to know that this week we will be taking one of our cars back to Indiana and locking up the second car, which was purchased here in Bradenton, in our garage for the summer.

We will be back in December in time to pay our non-exempt property taxes; stock up on groceries; shop in the stores; schedule our doctor appointments; call the roofers, plumbers, painters and landscapers, and even use the local hospitals if needed.

We will buy gas, pay tolls, green fees and admission to parks and recreation. Our occasional visitors will do the same.

We don't like the crowded restaurants and traffic backups any more than you do, but that is the way it is when you live in paradise.
