Ease Bradenton-Palmetto traffic with large bridge from Skyway to 75th St. NW
The only way to relieve the traffic issues through downtown Palmetto and Bradenton and surrounding areas, which is becoming more and more less seasonal, is to build a causeway-style bridge from the south end of the Skyway Bridge directly across to 75th Street Northwest in Bradenton, with a separate exit direct to Pine Avenue in Anna Maria.
The major span across will require at least one high-rise bridge to allow boating traffic.
All new traffic heading to Long Bar Pointe and to the island would bypass Palmetto and downtown Bradenton, relieving millions of cars having to cross over one of the current downtown bridges as well as Manatee Avenue West.
This would relieve an amazing amount of traffic issues in downtown Bradenton and cut someone's trip in half the time from the Skyway.
