Constitution not a 'living or progressive document'
The Constitution of the United States of America is not a "living or progressive document!" It is a document for all time and for all ages throughout time.
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was very good at explaining why it is not a "living document," but I guess letter writer David Gurowsky knows much more about the Constitution than Justice Scalia did. Read some of his writings surrounding the Constitution and you might appreciate a man such as Justice Scalia.
The Second Amendment protects all the other amendments and the rights of the people.
Another thing, Justice Scalia would have supported two men running for the office of the presidency, Trump and Cruz. Because these two men believe in the Constitution, secure borders with a fence and strict laws surrounding immigration.
I am tired of hearing the terms Irish-American, African-American, Cuban-American, German-American, Jewish American! How about just American citizens who believe in the United States of America. All of these tags continue to divide us and make us less safe.
Our Constitution and our way of life under Christianity is under attack and something bad may be coming our way.
