Suncoast Community Capital great place for filing tax returns

On March 2, not knowing what to expect, I visited the offices of Suncoast Community Capital in Bradenton for assistance with my 2015 tax return. I was very pleasantly surprised!

After only a 20-minute wait, I was pre-screened and shortly thereafter ushered into the tax preparation room. I met with Jerry, a congenial, extremely capable gentleman, who walked me through my complicated return.

Voila! In less than an hour Jerry produced his magic and I was finished! The 22 IRS trained volunteers, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) are exceptional, friendly professionals.

They, along with Tom Dutton, executive director, and Roger Caron, VITA manager, are to be commended for their outstanding service to this community.

This totally free service is available at 302 Manatee Ave. E., #307. Hours are Monday and Wednesday 4-7 p.m. and every other Saturday, by appointment, from 8-11 a.m. Call 941-744-2666 for more information. You won't be disappointed.
