Give top three GOP candidates plum jobs leading nation
Having once run on the Republican ticket in Connecticut in the Watergate year, I learned a great deal about what GOP voters will do and not do. If the person they support is not on the ticket, and they disapprove of the nominee, they just don't vote for anyone else. They stay home on election day.
This GOP brouhaha can easily be stopped. There are three candidates people approve of: one can be president, one vice president and one Secretary of State. The nominating committee can solve the problem. Why tear the party and the country apart?
I'm a Democrat committed to Hillary Clinton, but I, too, realize the danger the country would be in if the wrong person won the GOP nomination. We need two Americans we all respect running for president. We don't need Israel picking any American candidate.
