Our next election will select a new president. Unfortunately, we have become a society of instant gratification and a reality TV mentality that we hope may offer our own 30 seconds of fame.

Donald Trump is popular because he's a "star" and he plays to the anger in our society about the failure of our government to do anything to solve our problems. Yet he offers only platitudes of quick fixes without any details or verifiable cost/benefits.

We'll solve immigration abuse with a beautiful wall that will cost over $1,000 a foot and somebody else will pay for it. Didn't work in Berlin and they shot people trying to cross.

We'll balance our budget by lowering taxes and abolishing the EPA, IRS, etc. It will be beautiful. The president can't do these things on his own. He has to have Congress to pass the laws. (The WSJ, Tax Foundation and the Tax Policy Center all say his tax plan will create larger deficits.)

We'll cancel Obamacare and open competition for healthcare insurance across states. That's all and it will fix medical coverage and it will be beautiful.

We'll do all that Donald wants or "You're Fired."

Donald Trump is playing to our fears, belittling anyone who challenges him and continues his baseless ranting about how he loves everyone and all that he sees is beautiful. This is pure nonsense.

I'm voting for Marco Rubio in the Republican primary because I think he better fits my goals for who I'd want to be my president and is someone I can respect.

If in the end I'm forced to pick between Hillary and Trump I think I'll love Trump and it will be beautiful. I'm scared as hell that that could happen!
