I take exception to Cal Thomas' "Itching Ears" column in the Feb. 25 Bradenton Herald. Cal is trying to sway voters by calling them psychopaths if they vote for Donald Trump.

Trump is a businessman, not a career politician. He has obviously had a lot of success in life despite the fact people like to bring up his failures.

He is a good negotiator -- a good wheeler and dealer -- a good horse trader, if you will. He knows how to get things done through his life experiences. He did not become a billionaire through stupidity.

People are not blindly believing everything he says; they see him as the only one capable of saving the sinking ship. We have had peanut farmers and movie stars and the latest occupant of the White House.

Do people really want Hillary Clinton in the White House again -- with Bill and his shenanigans -- or Bernie Sanders the socialist? That leaves Ted Cruz, who lies, and Marco Rubio, the robot.

In any event, the ship is sinking for the average American, and Trump is the only one with the strength to turn it around.
