Political discourse now dominated by hatemongers
It's no secret that our country has come severely divided. The hate from both sides is overwhelming.
Now the Republicans want to blame it all on the current president, whom they love to hate. But I think it's something else, something that is everywhere we go. Something that is hard to ignore, that something I believe is none other than Facebook and the media;
Twenty-four hours, seven days a week one can't help but be bombarded with hate, and no one is immune. The folks who profess to be good Christians spread hate. The radio and TV spread the word of hate and division, by the channeling the likes of Tokyo Rose and Hanoi Hannah, through Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly, West, and Limbaugh.
Facebook has endless meme's spreading the hate and the "mine's better than yours" mentality. Long-time friends pitted against each other because for the first time they see that their political views aren't the same. Name calling, comments that assume one political party is the "chosen one" and everyone on the opposite side is stupid and on food stamps.
It's crazy how far the hate has come. I mean in this country we have a presidential candidate who is arguing with the pope, and his followers (many who profess to be Christian) love it! What has happened? When will we figure out that we are all in this together? It's not the president's fault we have become divided; it's our own for letting these hatemongers into our lives.
